Chapter 4: Embellished Excerpts

 

I have found once I have reached the end of the painting process I have also reached the beginning to unlimited possibilities. This Chapter is an accumulation of work that I have created because the completed painting inspired me to continue. In these creations I use threads, sewn by hand and/or machine, gold leaf, reclaimed materials, printed fabrics and/or papers, and more to give you, the viewer, information that you wouldn't receive from just a flat printed surface. I continue the story of the original with other mediums – giving life to an entirely new piece.
